Deep Vision up for Nor-Fishing award

FISKERFORUM: What has so been a scientific system for measuring and recording images of fish in a trawl as they pass down the belly to the codend has been for some time in development as a commcercial system. The concept is that the Deep Vision unit can record and measure fish as they make their way through it, releasing those that are outside the required size range or of the wrong species. This could dramatically reduce by-catch, optimising catch composition and transmitting the catch data live to the trawler’s wheelhouse.
